First, they learn to distinguish sounds from each other, and notice familiar syllables and patterns. They also have a sense for tone, which conveys emotion. They see facial expressions and begin to assign them meaning, as well. For example, a rather high-pitched repetition of their name with a smile can be recognized early on by very young infants. Babies learn to understand language before they have the ability to articulate the words themselves. They can learn to follow simple directions, recognize key words like "more," and "no", as well as "eat" and their names as young as 4-5 months of age.

Read the full article: Baby Signs at Online Baby Zone.

Making Homemade Melt and Pour Soap

Making homemade soap is a popular craft and a great business opportunity. But soap is not supposed to be hard to make? Not anymore! You can make your own soap at home easily with the melt and pour technique.

The only things you will need to buy are: a melt and pour soap base, a fragrance or essential oil and soap dye (you can also use food coloring). You may also wish to buy some plastic molds, but it is possible to find others things that work as a mold around your house, like old yogurt containers or jello molds. You only need to make sure that the container you choose as a mold is flexible enough so you can remove the soap when it hardens.

You can find the other things you need in your kitchen: a knife to cut the soap base, a wooden spoon to mix your soap, and a double boiler (or a bowl if you wish to use your microwave to melt the soap base).

First, you need to cut your soap base into 1/2" chunks. You can make any amount of soap you wish, it only depends on the size of your bowl or double boiler and on the number of molds your have.

After, if you use a double boiler, put your soap base in the top pan. Heat very slowly and stir gently to avoid causing bubbles. Do not allow the soap to boil, it may get a yellowish color and eventually burn.

If you use your microwave, put the soap chunks in a bowl. Heat at 20-30 seconds intervals, stirring gently between each interval. You can cover the top of your bowl with saran wrap to avoid spills.

Once all the soap base is melted and have a smooth texture, add the fragrance or essential oil and the dye, stirring slowly once again until everything s well mixed. You only need about .5 oz of each additive by pound of soap (except for food coloring, you only need a few drop in that case). Your best bet for more information would be the label of those products, if any instructions are included.

Then, you can start to pour your soap into the molds. Pour slowly to make sure you do not make bubbles. If you notice any after you are done pouring, spray the top of the soap with rubbing alcohol, which eliminates most of the bubbles without damaging your soap.

Set your molds to the side and let them cool. Once they have cooled a bit, place them in the fridge for about half an hour, it'll be easier to remove them from their mold if they cool that way.

Finally, you can now remove your soaps from their mold. Place them on a rack and allow it to finish drying for about 24 hours.

After that, the only limit is your imagination. You can put them in cello bags or shrink wrap to sell them, give them away as gift or, why not, use them for yourself! Just make sure you wrap them at least in saran wrap to preserve the fragrance.

Have you ever pondered becoming a Mystery Shopper?

This is the perfect way to bring in some extra cash and purchase things for free.

Have some fun and make money shopping, your family and friends won't believe that you get paid to shop and get paid to eat out at favorite restaurants!

Become a Mystery Shopper in Your Area!

5 Tips To Reduce Your Household Expenses

Every month, when you analyse your monthly household expenditures, do you notice an increase as compared to previous months? It may just be ten dollars or a hundred dollars but it is definitely on the rise.

That little bit of extra money paid each month will accumulate to a significant amount if left unchecked. Here are five simple tips that you can use and adapt to your daily life to help reduce your overall household expenses.

1. Cut the tube of toothpaste into half.
When you can no longer squeeze out any toothpaste from the tube, just cut it in-half. There is some more toothpaste left that can last you for a couple of days if you have a large family. If you live alone or with your spouse only, the extra toothpaste can last up to five days or even more.

2. Do not throw away that old bar of soap yet.
As your wash your hands with soap on a daily basis, the bar will become smaller and smaller until it is almost unusable. Instead of throwing it away, simply stick the old bar of soap onto the new one. Just make sure both of them are wet when sticking them together.

3. Install water saving kit in your toilet cistern.
When flushing the toilet, the amount of water used is usually more than is required. By installing a water saving kit in the cistern, the amount of water saved can be as much as three gallons per month.

4. Use the fan
Whenever possible, use the fan. The air conditioner is a major contributor to your utility bill. By using the fan, not only are you saving on your utility bill, you are also building up your body's tolerance to heat. Your chances of getting heat exhaustion or heat stroke during the hot summer season are greatly reduced.

5. Recycle those junk letters.
Each month, you will probably received a dozen or more letters from direct mailing companies in your mailbox. Some of these letters are printed on one side only. Collect these letters and combined them into a writing pad. You can also used them to print draft documents. Besides saving money, you are also saving a lot of trees.

Start cultivating these useful habits today and make them a part of your daily life. You will be pleasantly pleased when you notice your household expense start to decline bit by bit as time goes on.

FREE CONTENT ANYONE?...

Do you happen to be a blogger, newsletter or web-site
publisher yourself, and are in need of some quality content,
feel free to use some of my blog entries (articles) - just
make sure to reprint each article *as is* including the
resource box!

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------------

The "What's For Dinner" Drag!

I love food, I love to eat and I love to cook too! (I don't like the cleaning up part very much.)

Despite all of that I often find myself moaning about what to make for dinner. It seems like I let my cooking creativity fall into a rut. A BIG rut.

I start making the same dinners over and over. That gets old. Then I start hating to fix dinner, just because I don't know what to fix.

I know better but every now and then I let it happen. Tell me that you know what I mean so I don't feel all alone! :)

When things get really bad, I finally go looking for inspiration.

That might be looking through my beloved cookbooks again. Most likely though I go to the computer and log on to the Internet.

The other day I found a site that offers to send you free weekly menus and shopping lists! How cool is that? I am going to try these out and see how it goes. I am really excited as tonight is the first night I will be preparing one of the menus from this program.

The main course is Peppered Chicken Pasta and it sounds delicious and will be a breeze to make.

If you are interested in trying this approach to overcoming the "What's For Dinner" drag you can visit the web site here: http://www.menus4moms.com/kitchen/weeklymenu/
or just do a search at google.

Enjoy!
Meg
-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------------

Developing Your Will Power

by Megan Mart

Developing your will power is directly related to your success in
life. No one can over-estimate the power of your will to do.

Most people do not fail because of a lack of education. History
is filled with uneducated or poorly educated millionaires who
didn't let this supposed shortcoming hold them back. On the
contrary, what they may have lacked in education was obliterated
by their overpowering will to succeed, no matter how many times
they failed along the way.

It is the lack of determination and will power that is the true
reason so many people fail. Just as an athlete trains for a
physical game that takes concentrated effort, the mind must be
trained with the proper skills to win in life.

The process of obtaining this self-mastery -- the complete
command of your mind's powers -- is a gradual one. It involves
determination and the daily task of making it a habit. Once you
have self-mastery, the cost of obtaining it will bring a real
sense of accomplishment and a realization how minimal the cost
really was in the long run.

You don't need to be a genius to succeed -- just make yourself do
the thing you need to do when it has to get done, whether you
like it or not. This is one of the best lessons you can learn.

When Henry Ward Beecher was asked how he could accomplish so much
more than others, he replied, "I don't do more, but less than
others. They do all their work three times. Once in anticipation,
once in actuality, and once in rumination. I do mine in actuality
alone, so I end up doing things just once."

Beecher could concentrate his mind on what he was doing at a
given moment. Then he'd go do something else and concentrate on
his new task. One of the secrets of a successful life is the
ability to focus all of our energies on one thing at a time.

Don't waste time worrying as it only crowds your thoughts with
worthless clutter. Focus on what you're doing when you're doing
it, and stop worry before it stops you. Worry is an energy
vampire. It reduces your chances for success and it can make life
miserable for those around you.

Learning to focus your efforts is the only way you will achieve
the success you're capable of achieving. The earlier in life you
learn this simple fact, the more likely you will overcome
everything that slows you down and prevents you from reaching
true success in everything you do.

Here's a recipe for a wasted life -- just go about every day
trying to do too many things all at once. Splitting yourself up
into a hundred little parts leads to nowhere.

Yes, there are some people who like to juggle a number of tasks,
and they may be good at it, but for most of us the need to
concentrate on one task at a time is imperative to getting the
job done. It's not the amount of work you get done in a day or
week or even a year, but it's your persistence in constantly
moving forward that will get you where you want to go.

Keep at it! And remember ...

Focus, Focus, Focus.

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
Visit http://www.accessbizinfo.com for your marketing needs.

Reprint rights granted as long as this resource box
remains intact.
-----------------------------------------------

This week's thrifty tips!

Moving Check List

Items needed for an organized move: Large markers to mark boxes. Check home improvement stores, liquor stores and grocery stores for free boxes. A dolly for moving boxes and large appliances. Moving blankets or old blankets to protect nice furniture. Packing tape to seal moving boxes. Twine, rope or clothesline to secure items in a moving truck. Newspaper, newsprint, boxes and large plastic bags for packing items.

~ ~ ~

Boxing Up Items When Moving

Load everything that you can into boxes. You can stack them on a dolly to move multiple boxes at a time and they allow you to easily pack a moving truck. If you are in the habit of saving the original boxes for electronic devices like DVD players and TVs now is a great time to put them to use. Linens, clothing, pillows and cushions should be packed into bags or boxes as well. You can also pack clothing into duffel bags, trunks and other luggage. Pack them lightly to prevent wrinkles. Use blank newsprint for packing your nicest items to prevent newspaper ink from transfering onto belongings.

~ ~ ~

Labeling Moving Boxes

Label items with a large, dark colored permanent marker. Make sure to note the contents in the box and the room that you want to box to be put in in the new house. That makes unpacking much easier. Also clearly mark boxes with breakable items with "FRAGILE". For a very organized move, mark each box with a number and keep an inventory of which items are in each box. Put together a box (or multiple boxes) for items that you will need when you first get to your new house and then be sure to put it into the truck last so you will have it handy.

~ ~ ~

Moving Furniture and Wall Art

Stand sofas on end to reduce the space used. Wrap them in plastic to prevent them from getting dirty. If you are moving a dresser, remove items from drawers to make them much easier to move. Then secure the drawers so they don't open in traffic. When you take down paintings and prints, tape hooks and nails used to hang them to the back of the frame. Use a large piece of cardboard to protect the front of prints and paintings.

~ ~ ~

Loading a Moving Truck

If you rent a moving truck, these tips may be helpful to consider as you load it. Make sure to stack breakable items towards the top and put the items that you want to get to first in the truck last. Load items as tightly as possible to prevent boxes from shifting while driving. If you have any large furniture or appliances that may have a tendency to tip or slide when driving up or a down a hill, make sure to tie them to the wall.

~ ~ ~

Moving In

To prevent footprints in your new home, create walkways with drop cloths where the movers will be walking. If you have a lot of people helping with you move, have half the people unload the truck and half the people distribute the items throughout the house. That way, the people inside can keep their shoes clean or take their shoes off to keep fresh dirt out of your brand new home.

~ ~ ~

Hiring Movers

If you are hiring movers, be sure to ask them what their insurance covers before packing anything yourself. Quite often, they will only cover boxes that they have packed. If you are required to pack the boxes, only put a number on the outside of the box and whether or not the contents are fragile. Then make a list of the contents that each number correlates to. This will help ensure that valuable items don't end up missing.

~ ~ ~

About the author:
Tips provided by http://www.ThriftyFun.com

Decorating Your Kitchen With Yard Sale Finds

by Megan Mart

Want to decorate your kitchen but don't have a lot of money?

With a little persistence and time, you can find decorative items
at yard sales for pennies! Of course, it will take a bit more
work then just walking into your local Home Interiors store, but
you will spend far less and end up with some unique items that
will add interest to your home.

You can find items at yard sales that will go with any kitchen
decor. If your kitchen is country style, look for old baskets
and chunky old pottery bowls and pitchers. Put them above the
cabinets for a decorative display or use them on the counters to
store fruits or everyday items. Look for old wooden boxes or
silverware trays that you can use as decorative items - this old
wood adds warmth and character to your kitchen.

Yard sale finds are perfect for decorating a retro style kitchen.
You can still find many kitchen items from the 1970's and 60's
in good condition. Some of these are true collectibles but many
are just fun and decorative. I always look for old bread boxes,
canister sets, salt and pepper shakers, napkin holders, wall
clocks and other bric a brac for my retro kitchen.

If your kitchen is more of a 1940's look, you might have a harder
time finding vintage items of the era, but you can come up with
some good finds if you scour the yard sales and dig into those
old boxes. Kitchens decorated in this era, beg for vintage
linens to be used as tablecloths and displayed hanging from the
stove and cupboard handles. These old linens are stamped with
colorful designs and add cheer to any kitchen. Some of the state
map tablecloths are quite collectible and can be very expensive
in antique shops, so if you find one of those in your travels,
you have a real gem on your hands!

If you prefer a modern or contemporary kitchen, you can find many
almost new and gently used items to suit your tastes at every
yard sale. Try hitting the sales in the upscale section of town
and you might find some very expensive items for much less than
you would pay at the retail store. You may have to look around a
bit to find exactly what you want, but your persistence can pay
off big time!

Sometimes you can find items at yard sales that have antique or
collectible value. If you find that you gravitate towards
collecting a certain type of item like old pottery or vintage
linens, it might be worth your while to invest in some reference
books on the subject. That way you will be able to recognize a
good piece when you see it. Who knows, your yard sale find could
turn out to be a real winner!

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
Visit http://www.accessbizinfo.com for your marketing needs.

Reprint rights granted as long as this resource box
remains intact.
-----------------------------------------------

This week's thrifty tips!

By ThriftyFun.com

Longer Life for Your Carpet - Rearrange Your Furniture

It is good to move your furniture from time to time to change the traffic pattern in your house. Do you dread the
late night of ironing before your early morning meeting or trip
into town?

Are you frustrated when you can't fit that extra pair of shoes or
your necklaces arrive in a knot?

Taking a few extra moments packing your suitcase using some of
the following simple tips can easily cut down on the time and
effort of sorting and pressing your wardrobe when you arrive.

PACK TIGHTLY

Did you know that packing your suitcase snuggly (not TOO tight)
can actually help prevent your clothes from wrinkling? Too much
empty space in your luggage can allow for clothes to get jostled
about inside your suitcase, undoing all your efforts to fold and
organize.

FIND THAT EXTRA SPACE

Don't pack shoes without filling them with socks, underwear or
hosiery. Empty shoes take up valuable space, and with this
strategy you might even be able to pack an extra pair. Just make
sure to wrap them in plastic to avoid getting dirt on your
clothes.

Are you packing sweaters or other bulky articles? Consider using
space saver bags that are designed to remove excess air from your
clothing. The bags are created with a vent or other device that
allows you to manually squeeze the air out or use a vacuum
cleaner to remove the air. The special vents prevent the air from
coming back in.

If you're packing belts, be sure to wrap them around the inside
of the suitcase instead of rolling them up. They will take up
less space and stay in better condition.

PREVENT CREASES

Don't you hate it when your efforts to fold and pack neatly still
result in creases that need ironing or steaming to remove? Try
these suggestions to reduce creasing:

Fold shirts once lengthwise and then fold the sleeves back over
the shirt. Stack shirts and lay them as a flat pile in your
suitcase.

Fold pants once lengthwise and place them across your suitcase
with the lower leg of the pants remaining outside of the packing
area. Place remaining items on top of the pants and then fold the
lower leg over the packed items. This will prevent creasing
across the knee.

Another method for packing without creasing is to fold pants and
shirts lengthwise and then roll them from the bottom up. Be
certain to pack the items snuggly into place. If you must pack
items that wrinkle very easily cover them with dry cleaner bags
before rolling. This will also help prevent wrinkles and
creasing.

TIPS FOR TANGLED JEWLERY

Do you despise the tangled mess of necklaces tossed about in a
box? First of all, a box takes up too much needed space. Use a
soft pouch to hold your jewelry. Prevent tangles by cutting a
drinking straw to half the length of your necklace or chain
bracelet. String one end through the straw and fasten the clasp.

Now that you will arrive with organized and wrinkle-free attire
you have more time to enjoy yourself!

Megan

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
Sign up for Megan's FREE Marketing Newsletter
http://www.accessbizinfo.com/signup.html
-----------------------------------------------

7 Easy Ways to Get Rid of a Pimple "In a Pinch!"

by Megan Mart

It’s everyone’s worst nightmare. Waking up the day before a
special event to discover a big, red pimple baring itself for all
to see right on your face!

Here’s how to get rid of it quickly and safely:

1. Don’t ever pinch, squeeze or pick at a pimple. This only
causes it to become more red and inflamed, and will spread the
bacteria and oils that caused it in the first place, to other
parts of your face! It can also lead to scars.

2. Every 30 minutes, apply an ice pack to the pimple and hold it
there for about 2 minutes. This will decrease the swelling and
redness and help shrink the inflammation and pain that sometimes
comes along with it.

3. They don’t call it concealer for nothing! Covering the pimple
with a light dose of flesh-tinted concealer can help mask it when
you’re in a hurry. It also helps cover up that oily shine.

4. Cleanse your skin 2-3 times a day with mild, unscented soap or
a specialized acne cleanser that has no harsh chemicals (such as
lye). Scrub skin gently with an exfoliating pad or washcloth, but
don’t rub too hard, otherwise you’ll sap your skin of its own
natural oils, which help to repel buildup naturally.

5. Apply a cream or ointment containing benzyl peroxide or
salicylic acid (many over-the-counter acne medicines contain
these ingredients) to the blemish or around the entire facial
area. Note that these ingredients both have a tendency to dry
out skin if used too much and are not recommended if you have
sensitive skin.

6. Wear oil-free makeup whenever possible. These types have less
of a tendency to cause the pore buildup that results in
blemishes. Remove your makeup nightly and cleanse with an
acne-fighting medicine to remove dirt, oil and makeup from deep
within the skin.

7. If you’re in need of a quick fix, a dab of toothpaste on the
affected area right before bed can help soothe irritation and
reduce redness. Pressing and holding a wet tea bag or a cotton
ball with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for five
minutes can also reduce swelling and redness.

If you follow these tips, chances are you’ll notice a significant
difference rather quickly - often within a day or two. If
pimples become a recurring problem or worsen, your doctor or
dermatologist can suggest a daily skin cleansing routine that
will suit your skin type. Other long-term remedies, such as
facial masks, diet adjustments and increasing the amount of water
you drink can also help combat outbreaks.

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
Subscribe to my Free Newsletter by visiting:
http://www.accessbizinfo.com/signup.html
and receive free newsletter advertising!
-----------------------------------------------

Tips to Beating Depression

Tips to Beating Depression

Everyone has days when they are down, worn out and just not
feeling all that happy.

That's OK, you need to have days like this, otherwise how
would you know when you are happy. You need to have
something to contrast your happiness with. What is black
without white?

Even though you know that sadness is a part of life, let's
try to make it a small part of life.

With that said, here are a few tips to help you feel better
when you are feeling down in the dumps. They are easy to
do, easy to practice every day and they work!

1. Stand up straight, sit up straight. When your body is in
alignment your energy can flow and when your energy is
flowing freely, you can flow.

2. Smile! Yes, just smile. Easy to do and effective.

3. Repeat positive affirmations. Things like "I feel good",
"Positive energy flows through my body", "I see the good in
all".

4. Listen to some music that you like. It doesn't have to
be anything specific, just something you enjoy. Certain
types of music work better than others, but experiment and
see what works for you. Studies have shown that Classical
music and new age music work best.

5. Take some time out for yourself, relax and read a book,
do something for yourself.

6. Meditate. Meditation is an excellent habit to develop.
It will serve you in all that you do. If you are one who
has a hard time sitting still, then try some special
meditation CDs that coax your brain into the meditative
state. Just search for "Meditation music" on Google or
Yahoo and explore.

Our outside work is simply a reflection of our inside world.
Remember there is no reality just your perception of it.
Use this truth to your advantage. Whenever you are sad,
realize that it is all in your mind and you do have the
power to change your perception.

These tips will lift you up when you are down, but don't
just use them when you are sad. Try and practice them
everyday, make them a habit. You will be surprised at how
these simple exercises will keep the rainy days away.

On a final note, if you are in a deep depression that you
can't seem to shake, please go see a doctor. This is your
life and don't take any chances.

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
Visit http://www.accessbizinfo.com for your marketing needs.
-----------------------------------------------

Understand Your Depression

Depression Resource

Depression is an illness that many people often sweep under a
rug. However if depression is left untreated... Your life can
become a living nightmare. Depression is a growing epidemic in
the US, but it never gets the urgent attention it deserves.
You need help and you need it now.

But you say, "I have insurance, why not just see a therapist."
You may not know this, but even though you may see that therapy
is covered under your plan, many insurance companies limit the
number of visits you are allowed. Worse yet some plans have an
extremely limited selection of approved therapists, many of
whom just put up a sign and call themselves therapists with no
credentials. Additionally talk therapy is a major time
investment - meaning taking time off work and away from your
family. Imagine having all the information you need right at
your fingertips to use or sift through on YOUR schedule.

You no longer have to deal with the all of the "technical"
books out there that leave you asking yourself "What the heck
does that mean?" And you won't need to rely on a therapist who
can charge up to thousands of dollars with no results.

"Stop Your Depression Now!" isn't like other books out there
that deal with depression. This book is easy to read and easy
to understand. But more importantly this book gives results.

With "Stop Your Depression Now!" you are put in the drivers
seat. You are able to quickly understand your depression.
Understanding your depression is half of the battle. I will
help you win the war.
http://www.accessbizinfo.com/stopyourdepression

FRUIT SALAD DRESSING & Mixed FRUIT SALAD

FRUIT SALAD DRESSING

Various dressings may be served with fruit salad, and usually the one selected depends on the preference of those to whom it is served. However, an excellent dressing for salad of this kind and one that most persons find delicious is made from fruit juices thickened by means of eggs. Whenever a recipe in this Section calls for a fruit salad dressing, this is the one that is intended.

1/2 c. pineapple, peach, or pear juice
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs

Mix the fruit juices, add the sugar, beat the eggs slightly, and add them. Put the whole into a double boiler and cook until the mixture begins to thicken. Remove from the fire and beat for a few seconds with a rotary egg beater. Cool and serve.

Mixed FRUIT SALAD

The combination of fruits given in the accompanying recipe makes a very good salad, but it need not be adhered to strictly. If one or more of the fruits is not in supply, it may be omitted and some other used. In case canned pineapple is used for the salad, the juice from the fruit may be utilized in making a fruit salad dressing.

1 grapefruit
2 oranges
1 banana
2 apples
2 slices pineapple
Salad dressing
Lettuce

Peel and section the grapefruit and oranges. Slice the banana crosswise into 1/4-inch slices and cut each slice into four sections. Dice the apples and cut the pineapple in narrow wedge-shaped pieces. Mix the fruit just before serving. Add the salad dressing, which may be fruit-salad dressing, French dressing, or some other desirable salad dressing, by mixing it with the fruit or merely pouring it over the top. Serve on salad plates garnished with lettuce leaves. Place a maraschino cherry on top. And it
seems that things just taste better cooked outside.

Here in the U.S. the 4th of July is coming up. A big
cause for celebrating. Remember that Yellow Pages
Ad Campaign? Excellent advice if you’re shopping for auto
insurance. Shop around and do it yearly. Don’t just keep
paying the invoice over and over without comparison
shopping. Below are a few suggestions to help you get the
best deal available on your automobile insurance policy.

Insurance agents really have a lot of leeway. They can
price match and they can offer many discounts. There are
also many decisions you can make about your policy that will
save you a bundle. For example, if you change your
deductible on your collision from a $50 deductible to a
$1000 deductible, you’re inline for a huge premium savings.
If you don’t think you could come up with $1000 out of
pocket, then change it to a $500 deductible; you’ll still
save a sizable amount on your annual premium payment.

You can also get more of a savings if you change your
comprehensive deductible. Many people needlessly carry full
coverage on their older vehicle. They originally purchased
the vehicle new, paid for full coverage and to this day,
continue to pay the same high rate. Their ten year old
vehicle may be worth $1000 or less, yet they continue to pay
$250-$450 every six months (total $500 to $900 dollars a
year) to keep full coverage on their old vehicle.

However, if they have an accident and totaled their vehicle,
the insurance company will only pay them the wholesale value
of the vehicle. The amount they would receive could be $1000
or less. A vehicle that old just needs the insurance that
protects the other person in case of an accident.

Another method to save more on your insurance is by
combining your vehicles and other insurance together to get
you additional savings. All insurance companies offer a
multi-car discount (if yours doesn’t, it’s time to switch
companies). Further, many will discount more if you have
your homeowners or renters policy with them.

There are a few other discounts that you may not be taking
advantage of. It seems obvious, but make sure you are
getting the correct rate for your age. There are discounts
for various ages than can save you lots of money. Check
with your agent on this one. Also alarm systems on your
vehicle are usually good for a discount. Additionally,
anti-lock brakes and air bags can also help lower your
premiums.

Don’t just keep paying the invoice when it comes in. Your
insurance bill should be an automatic trigger for you to
make a few phone calls to see if you can save even more
money on your auto insurance premiums.

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
Visit http://www.accessbizinfo.com for your marketing needs.
-----------------------------------------------

How To Get That Car With Little Or No Credit!

"Think you can't get a car because you have no credit? You need to read this report today!"

Are you in need of a car?

The cost of a new car nowadays equals about what my parents paid for their first home. It's not a purchase to be taken lightly. You want to do everything possible to ensure you get a great deal.

Been turned down because you have no credit?

You may have heard the advice to shop the last day of the month for better deals. It's true that you might get a better deal from a salesman then. In this report learn how to take over payments on cars about to be repossessed by the bank!

Where to Find The Vehicle of Your Choice?

How do you know which car is right for you? It's all in asking the right questions.
First, ask yourself what you really need in a car. Who will be driving it most of the time? Where will you be driving in? Over what sort of terrain? Do you need a lot of storage space and lots of seating? Are you going to be traveling back and forth over long distances?

What features is an absolute must? Air conditioning, adjustable controls, cruise control?

What safety features you are looking for? Anti-lock brake systems, head injury protection, or child protection equipment?

How much are you willing to spend?

What kind of down payment can you make?

Realistically, what can you afford to pay monthly?

It's important to know this amount before you even start looking. Then do your research. Check websites, dealerships, and Consumer Reports magazine. Look for reliability and repair ratings as well as safety advice.

Go exploring for that perfect car. Gather as much info as you can on the different makes and models. Check out the retail value, available options, performance, and track record for repairs.

No matter where you buy your used car, be prepared to stand firm. There are a bazillion other cars you could fall in love with. Be willing to walk away from the car if the deal doesn't meet the criteria you laid out earlier. Your ability to negotiate a great deal will increase by leaps and bounds.

Always know the market value of any car you're considering and make your first offer lower. You want a little room to negotiate.

Ask for detailed vehicle history report and service records from the seller. This report can identify major problems including past accidents, flood damage, and odometer discrepancies. When you decide to buy a car, make sure you get it checked out by a trusted mechanic before you hand over any money. That's absolutely crucial.

Buying a car can be one of the most exciting purchases you ever make.

Step By Step Report Guide "Buy With Little Or No Credit"
Introduction
Step 1: Where to Find The Vehicle of Your Choice
Step 2:Making the Initial Contact (Common Questions and Answers)
Step 3: The Face to Face Presentation
Step 4: Closing the Deal
Step 5: Paperwork and Insurance

Much More....
http://www.accessbizinfo.com/carnocredit.html

-----------------------------------------------
Megan Mart . . .
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------------

Water Saving Tips!

This week's thrifty tips!

By ThriftyFun.com

Water Saving Tip #1

Place a 1/2 gallon milk jug or pop bottle filled with water and some rocks for weight in your toilet tank to reduce the amount of water used with each flush. Other objects will also work as long as they offset enough water, but some like bricks are not recommended since they actually dissolve over time. Make sure that all of the workings inside the tank are not hampered.

Water Saving Tip #2

Keep an empty gallon jug near the kitchen sink, and pour any leftover water from cooking or drinking into it. Once the jug is full, use the water on plants in the garden or home. House plants should be watered in the evening to reduce loss to evaporation.

Water Saving Tip #3

Install water saving shower heads, faucets, etc., and for long-term savings, a low-flush toilet.

Water Saving Tip #4

When you are waiting for hot water to warm up put a watering can under the faucet. Once full use it for gardening. Place a bucket in your shower to catch water that is wasted while you wait for it to warm up.

Water Saving Tip #5

Mulch around plants with grass clippings, compost, straw or ground bark. Mulch will hold moisture in the soil and reduce evaporation. Overtime, mulching will increase your soil's water holding capacity.

Water Saving Tip #6

Don't leave the water on while you are brushing your teeth. Turn it off after rinsing your toothbrush and wait to turn it on again when you need to rinse the sink and brush when you are done.

Water Saving Tip #7

Take dirty water from bird baths, flower vases, or pet dishes and reuse on potted plants.

About the author:

Tips provided by http://www.ThriftyFun.com

I’m Taking Pig Hormones! A Look at Natural Thyroid

What’s a common disease that over 5 million Americans suffer
from and many may not even be aware they have it?
Hypothyroidism and related forms of thyroid dysfunction!

The thyroid gland looks like a little bow tie and is located
at the base of the throat, below the Adam’s apple in males.
Thyroid dysfunction affects both males and females. This
gland produces hormones which control the body’s metabolism,
your internal thermostat of sorts.

Thyroid dysfunction is generally either an over or under
production of the hormone. Under active thyroid hormone
production is called hypothyroidism; whereas too much, or
overactive thyroid hormone production is called
hyperthyroidism.

Some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism include chronic
fatigue and weakness, weight gain or difficulty losing
weight, hair loss or coarse, dry hair, dry and rough skin,
intolerance to cold, abnormal menstrual cycles, decreased
sex drive, memory loss, depression and irritability,
constipation, muscle cramps. Not all symptoms are always
present.

Some doctors prefer to diagnose hypothyroidism with a blood
test. They will test to check TSH levels (the thyroid
stimulating hormone produced by the pituitary gland) and T4
levels (the main thyroid hormone). Other doctors prefer to
take a more holistic approach and are able to diagnose based
on symptoms. Morning body temperature readings (below 97.1
consistently) as well as discovery of regular waking up
approximately four hours after going to bed, can aid in the
diagnosis.

There are chemical, synthetic treatments that can be used to
restore healthy thyroid functions, such as Synthroid and
Levothyroxine.

Some doctors and sufferers prefer to use a form of natural
thyroid hormone extracted from swine and cows. Yup, pig
thyroid! It’s the closest to the human thyroid hormone and
contains both T4 and T3 thyroid hormones.

Naturopaths have long recognized that there are very
effective herbs that can help to promote healthy thyroid
functioning and restore thyroid health.

Armour, a natural thyroid is available by prescription.
T-100 is another brand of natural thyroid that can be
obtained through holistic processionals. Regular use of
natural thyroid can help to restore deficient iodine levels,
while also stimulating the thyroid to produce crucial
thyroid hormones, thereby treating hypothyroidism.

Bladder wrack or kelp, Licorice, Saw Palmetto and Ginger
(root) have also been known to stimulate the thyroid to
release thyroid hormones and is therefore beneficial in the
treatment of hypothyroidism.

If you’re not comfortable taking synthetic medications, give
natural thyroid a chance. It is also used in many other parts
of the world. For example, the Italians use it to make meat
sauces for, lasagna and spaghetti bolognese; in the Middle
East it is used to make spicy kofta and meatballs.

Ground beef is one of the most commonly purchased items from
the beef section at the grocery store. Because of its
functionality in a multitude of different entree items.

Ground beef is considered a meat-stretcher, easy on the
wallet compared to full beef cuts. For this reason, there
are a lot of creative ways to use ground beef other than for
burgers, meatloaf and meatballs, including some interesting
simulated gourmet recipes.

Take a look at the tasty recipes that are in this ebook!
http://www.accessbizinfo.com/groundbeef

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------------

What do you know about Vinegar?

What do you know about Vinegar? ...

Vinegar (from Old French vinaigre "sour wine") is a sour liquid made
from the oxidation of ethanol in wine, cider, beer, and such.

Ancient civilizations used Vinegar as a condiment , a preservative,
a medicine, an anti-biotic and a detergent. Then pour some beer,
the cheaper the better, into the container. In no time
you will start to see slugs meeting their end in the beer.

~ ~ ~

The Benefits of Vacationing Close to Home

With gas prices so high this summer, consider taking a
vacation somewhere close to home. You not only spend less
money on gas, but you will also spend less time on the
road and more time at your destination.

~ ~ ~

Sap on Your Car

It always best to remove sap from your car quickly, while
it is still soft. The harder the sap gets the tougher it
is to remove and the more likely it is to scratch your
car's finish. Make a paste with a mild abrasive like
baking soda and apply to the sap, then rub it with a rag
until the sap is removed. You can also try rubbing the sap
with mayonnaise on a rag. I have also heard that WD-40
works well for softening sap so that it can be removed.
Clean the area once the sap has been removed.

~ ~ ~

Prescription Drug Savings

When a doctor prescribes you a new medication, be sure to
ask if there is a generic version of that drug. Don't
assume that your doctor will inform you about generic drug
alternatives. Generic drugs must meet all the same
requirements as brand name drugs, but the difference in
price and your insurance co-pay can be dramatic.

~ ~ ~

Broom Foot Cleaner

If you have an old bristle broom that you are about to
retire, put it to good use as a boot and shoe cleaner by
your front or back door. Cut the handle about halfway and
bury the remaining handle in the ground. Leave the
bristles pointing up in the air for people to wipe their
feet on.

~ ~ ~

Lemonade Ice Cubes

The next time you make lemonade, fill an ice cube tray
with lemonade and make some lemonade ice cubes. As they
melt, they won't dilute your glass of lemonade.

~ ~ ~

Scare Away Birds With Old CDs

Old CDs can be used to scare birds away from your garden
or orchard. Just hang CDs from branches in your orchard or
nail them to stakes in your garden and the reflective
surface will frighten some types of birds.

~ ~ ~

Tips provided by http://www.ThriftyFun.com

Child's Play - How to Play with Preschoolers

Cathy had a stressful day at work. After picking the kids up from
the sitter and rushing home to fix supper she longed to sit down
with a glass of wine, put her feet up and watch some inane sitcom
to relax her mind.

Of course, Cathy has a four year old and a two year old, so
sitting around and relaxing are not a normal part of her evening
until well after the children are in bed and the supper dishes
are cleared away. They relentlessly beg her to play with them and
when they momentarily give up it is only to chase each other
madly about the house, laughing (which turns to crying) and
coming back to look for attention from mom.

The thing is, Cathy WANTS to play with her children. With two
young children she recognizes that their infancy is quickly
disappearing and soon enough she will be arguing with moody
pre-teens instead of putting off happy, eager preschoolers. What
is stressful is that Cathy doesn't know HOW to play with her
children.

The children love a walk to the park on the weekends, but
evenings are rushed and it's already dark. Her daughters would
love her to play dolls or chase them around but Cathy has neither
the energy or imagination so late in the evening. However, there
are some easy options from their own childhoods that Cathy and
other parents may be forgetting. The following suggestions are
not only easy to do, but can actually be relaxing for you.

Coloring: if your child can hold a crayon then they will usually
love mom or dad to get down on the floor with a coloring book and
join them. Not only do they not care about your skill, but they
will love to turn pages on you just when you get going! Coloring
can actually be quite relaxing even for adults, along with
another easy to participate game...

Puzzles: large, 25 piece puzzles will thrill anyone over one.
Perhaps they are not at all able to work the pieces themselves
but they will happily slap a piece into position when you set it
in place. Puzzles can also be somewhat relaxing as they engage
your mind in a simple activity, thus switching off' your ability
to concentrate on work or family stress.

Clay: Whether you buy it or make it, playing with molding clay is
another easy to participate game that can be very educational to
your children as well as fun. Having a few tools to work with
makes your skills at inventing less taxing. You do not need store
bought toys made especially for clay, in fact your children will
likely find more enjoyment with cookie cutters and other kitchen
tools or items from the house. Your children will learn colors,
shapes, textures and even counting and sorting similar shapes.

The best part of all of these games is that they require the
child's full attention which keeps them occupied, does not place
undo strain on your own imagination, and best of all they all
require SITTING DOWN!

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------------

Money Saving Solutions

Wouldn’t it be great to get a little help with your money
handling? Here are a few simply solutions to try.

1. COUPONS – These are not just for food! Check online, in
print media and in your postal and email boxes for money
saving coupons to use with your next computer, software,
bookstore, office supply store or any store purchase. Enjoy
a social life, too. Head to the fitness center, take your
spouse out to eat and get your pet groomed – all with
coupons. Plan ahead and keep the in a drawer or specially
marked container. Purge monthly or quarterly. Trade with
friends, neighbors, co-workers, church and organization
member, colleges and family.

2. INCENTIVES – Many credit cards, restaurants, movie
theaters, stores and other places offer incentive programs.
Find one or more that fit into your purchasing plans and
earn things like free air travel miles, movies and pop corn,
gasoline, meals, a percentage back in the form of a check,
gift certificates and more back in exchange for your
participating in their program. Keep up with the times, too.
If your child is grown, no need to use your Toys-R-Use Visa
and get back certificates for toys any longer. Call the bank
and see which other programs they have, ask your friends
which ones they use, surf the Internet for new offers - and
switch.

3. ALTERNATIVES – Look for alternative solutions before you
spend. Often there are generic packages of the products you
want (items with no brand names) and there are home remedies
and local pharmacists to ask for alternatives to expensive
medications and treatments. And many places offer discounts
for package deals, like family haircuts instead of
individual ones.

4. ATTITUDE – Don’t focus on what you “don’t have.” Instead,
focus on what you “do have.” Make lemonade out of those
lemons; recycle what you can, reuse what you can, donate
what you can. No need to have “new” things all the time, or
even part of the time. Be happy with what you have now and
make it work for you! What sort of food would make the list
and what would stay tauntingly on the store's shelves?

Whatever your reason for having a tight budget, the truth is that
going to the grocery store without a plan is a BIG budget
breaker. And sadly all that cash ends up vanishing into our
stomachs and then...let's stop there.

Could you save $25 a month on groceries? How about $50 or $100?
Possibly you could cut your bill by almost 50% if you consider
some of the following suggestions:

First you must divide the budget you have into three categories;
weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Once you have the totals fixed,
try to find a way to make it work. If you budgeted too tight,
only then consider how much more you really need to spend.

Second, identify your WEEKLY needs; milk, bread, fruits. These
will be your saving graces when the troops are hungry. You can
load up every week and always have a healthy snack available.
Think about $15/week.

Third, identify your BI-WEEKLY needs; eggs, cheese, vegetables,
meat and cheese for sandwiches etc. These items have a slightly
longer shelf life but you will watch how much you use when you
know there's still four days until your next purchase. Try $20
every two weeks.

Fourth, get the remainder of your groceries in one place. Use
cash to pay (to avoid temptation of over spending) and work out
your shopping list ahead of time. You only need to do this once
as many of the items (Cereal, meat etc.) will need to be
repurchased each time. Other items (sugar, flour etc.) may be
substituted every other month. In this example you have $200
left.

Fifth, have a schedule of meals that you can rotate. Cheap,
healthy meals like stir fry can be inexpensive as they use less
meat than full pieces of chicken or beef for dinner. Plan to have
a meat meal offset by a simpler dish like pasta every other
night. This way your family will not go through
'feast-and-famine' when they eat like kings the first week and
are eating canned chili every night for the last week.

Always determine your meals based on what you really plan to
cook. If you have easy weeknight staples, try to find the
cheapest method of preparing them, or make do with less pre-
packaged affair on other nights when you have more time. Using
items like frozen vegetables can make eating cheap also healthy
and convenient.

Clearly the $300 suggestion will depend on your family, the age
of your children and how much your budget really allows. Whatever
your budget, taking the time to draw up a plan and think about
your choices will guarantee that you keep more cash in your
wallet for other important things.

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------------

Do you have CRS - Can’t Remember Squat? Supplements May Help

Does this describe you: You walk into the living room to
get something, only to get there and forget what you needed?
You often hear “Yes, you already told me about that” or
maybe you thought you told someone, but you never actually
verbalized it. Someone tells you their name and then ninety
seconds later you say, “Ok, tell me your name again.”

Perhaps you’re not as young as you used to be, you have more
on your plate to keep track of or you have a diagnosed or
even undiagnosed medical condition. Whatever the reason, you
seem to be plagued with a bad case CRS – Can’t Remember
Squat. First and foremost if you haven’t had a physical
exam in a while, go see your doctor. You’ll want to rule
out anything serious that may be causing your CRS. Barring
any serious findings, you can take some herbs, vitamins and
other supplements to help regain some of your memory. The
vitamins, herbs and supplements listed below may help.

Essential Fatty Acids, otherwise known as fish oils or
EPA-DHA are well known for their anti-inflammatory activity.
Furthermore, DHA is required for normal brain function in
adults. Decreases in brain DHA content are associated with
age-related cognitive decline, dementia, and Alzheimer's
disease.

Studies suggest that Polyphenol found in the skins of red
grapes and various other plants may protect against
inflammation and cognitive disorders.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) is also an excellent antioxidant
agent in neurodegenerative diseases due to the fact that it
can interrupt free radical damage at several points. It has
been shown to elevate antioxidants in various brain regions
and improves memory. Further, ALA supports healthy blood
glucose levels and insulin activity.

Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant cofactor that has been shown
to protect the brain. In addition to being a potent free
radical scavenger, CoQ10 has proven to be effective in a
wide variety of age-related conditions.

Vitamin E is the primary antioxidant found in all tissues.
Low vitamin E levels are consistently associated with an
increased risk and occurrence of neurological diseases,
including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. In a study of
patients with Alzheimer’s, treatment with 2000 IU of vitamin
E per day for 2 years was beneficial in delaying the primary
outcome (time to the occurrence of death,
institutionalization, loss of ability to perform activities
of daily living, and severe dementia) of disease
progression.

Ginkgo biloba extract is an approved treatment for dementia
in Germany, and it is the only nonprescription substance
considered a treatment for dementia in Canada. Ginkgo biloba
is one extract readily available. It enhances mental
efficiency in elderly patients with mild to moderate memory
impairment. It is also shown to improve cognitive function
in patients with dementia, to enhance blood flow to the
brain, enhances cognitive performance in patients with
Alzheimer's disease. Further it is said to enhance memory in
young individuals.

Adaptogenic herbs have been shown to reduce the negative
effects of stress. Due to the decreased ability to handle
stress and the increased levels of glucocorticoids
associated with aging and neurodegeneration, herbs with
adaptogenic properties may be beneficial. Ayurvedic herbs
such as ashwagandha, holy basil, and brahmi have a positive
influence on stress response, mental function, and
cognition.

Carotenoids are a class of naturally occurring plant
pigments that provide the bright red, orange, and yellow
colors of fruits and vegetables. A balanced intake of mixed
carotenoids, as found in a healthy diet, provides the best
protection against oxidative damage.

Folate and vitamins B6 and B12 are needed for proper brain
function. Insufficiencies of these nutrients may result in
forgetfulness, memory loss, confusion, depression, dementia,
and mood and sensory changes. One study stated that
age-related impairment of cognitive function is likely
related to vitamin deficiencies, and is "preventable or
reversible with improved vitamins, especially vitamin B6,
vitamin B12, and folate."

Additionally, scientists searching for a cure for
Alzheimer's disease have found a potential ally in the herb
sage. Checking the writings of herbalists working four
centuries ago, scientists in England found a marked
improvement in the memory capabilities of Alzheimer’s
patients who took sage oil extract. The finding was
consistent with a discovery by researchers at the
Universities' Medicinal Plant Research Center that sage
protects a key chemical destroyed in Alzheimer's.

This list is not all inclusive and there could be a number
of other factors (environment, diet, disease) that could be
the root cause of your CRS. However, starting with a few
supplements may help you remember where you left your car
keys!

---------------------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women! Others will
confess that they don’t have a hobby. They probably do; but
just don’t label it as such. By definition, a hobby is an
activity or interest pursued outside one's regular
occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure.

Whether stamp collecting, chat rooms, trains, soft ball,
scrapbooking, golf, reading, painting, tap dancing, yard
work, crafts, auto mechanics, music, hunting down garage
sales, sewing, fishing, cooking, boating, furniture
refinishing, javelin tossing or a plethora of other
activities or interests the key element is balance. You
must find balance between your family life and your
extracurricular activities.

Too much of a good thing turns bad. Everyone should have an
outlet and a special interest that they enjoy doing for
themselves. Self indulgence, to a point, is quite healthy.
Escaping from day to day grinds to take some time to devote
to your special hobby or concentration is therapeutic.
You’ve all heard, “if Mamma ain’t happy, no one’s happy.”
It doesn’t matter if your role is father, mother, husband,
wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, son, daughter, brother or
sister, if you’re just going to work or school and have no
real outside activities, you’re probably not always the most
friendly person to be around.

Conversely, if you bury yourself and it seems to others that
all you care about or all you ever want to do is bang on the
drums all day, you’re setting yourself up or prolonging
discontent. People deal with depression in many ways. Some
sleep all the time. Others want to do nothing but read,
read, read. Still others will spend hours upon hours
downstairs building a bigger, faster widget, just to avoid
the real cause of their frustrations. Hobbies are supposed
to be a healthy outlet, not a catalyst to ignore issues that
need addressing.

Likewise, hobbies can get very expensive. Sure snow
mobiles, motorcycles and ski equipment are obviously
expensive. But sometimes those seemingly low cost
activities can add up. You start out with trying to budget
for the monthly karate lessons. Then you need (or want) the
gi, the uniform. Don’t forget about the protective sparring
equipment. Perhaps you think you need to have a heavy bag or
some shields to help you practice. Figure on $30-$50 per
tournament that you enter. Of course there’s the uninsured
medical and orthodontia costs to be calculated in as well.
“Let’s see, do we pay the mortgage this month, so get that
new helmet that you just have to have?”

If your hobby is doing more harm than good, if it’s dipping
into the family budget and time allocation, more than you
can or should be spending, it’s time to reevaluate. If
you’re not doing something outside your standard occupation
that you enjoy, it’s time to find something, for your and
your family’s sake!

-----------------------------------------------
Every Woman's Day, Everything for women!
FREE content for your blog, web-site, or newsletter!
Visit: http://everywomansday.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------------
